
Enjoy free Moutai at Guizhou Pavilion
Luck for visitors of Guizhou Pavilion at 2010 Shanghai Expo, they will drink free Moutai White Wine announced in the press conference by Guizhou Province yesterday. Moutai is often used to toast dignitaries at Chinese government banquets.
Yang Haodong, deputy director of the Department of Commerce of the province and director of the pavilion said, every 100th visitor will get the opportunity to drink a cup of wine taken by an oxhorn. The Ethnic Miao girls from the province will sing songs meanwhile, which is a traditional custom of receiving guests. Every 1,000th visitor will get a bottle of Moutai Wine as a present. The organizers plan to give away five bottles every day during the 2010 Expo.
The Moutai Wine won the gold prize at the Panama World Expo in 1915 and then became world-famous. So the Guizhou Pavilion will be more likely to be decorated by the wine, yang said.
