Shanghai Metro Volunteers to work by pushing card

Shanghai Metro Volunteers will implement the act to work by pushing card. All the information about card services can be inquired through the network. The Shanghai Metro Volunteer Network Information Management System, which is the original one at home, was formally put into practice yesterday morning. Meanwhile, 10 stations, such as Lujiazui Station, and 17 units, such as Pudong Customs District, became the first batch of the "Shanghai Metro volunteer service base".

The first batch of more than 700 individual volunteer cards and 700 unit service cards was issued at the event yesterday. Each card was printed with the name, photo, community and unit where the volunteer comes from. The volunteers should push their cards on the same information desk of the station, whenever executing inbound service or outbound service.

Relying on Shanghai Metro ticketing system, the system can form an accurate record of service time and evaluate the service quality. Based on that, the system can help improve the volunteer registration, management and incentive systems.

In order to guarantee the volunteer’s service during 2010 Expo, China Pacific Insurance Company (CPIC) offers a 20-million, 500 personal accident insurance policies for the Shanghai Metro volunteers. The insurance period will last for the end of 2010 across the Shanghai World Expo.
