
Shanghai Expo Site Enters into the Setup Stage
The fourth International Participants Meeting of Shanghai World Expo was held today. Ding Hao, the deputy secretary of Shanghai World Expo Bureau, confirmed that the Shanghai World Expo Site would begin a one-month trial operation since the next April.
According to reports, the Expo organizer planned to start the monomer commissioning in January 2010, and then begin the trial operation in April. During the trial operation, the organizer would give out the tickets for trial operation. People from the media and other social organizations would be invited to visit the Expo Site. The Shanghai World Expo park will be officially opened in May 1, 2010 according to plan.
Exhibition Affairs of 2010 Shanghai Expo have been getting on smoothly so far. There will be 42 stand-alone pavilions in 2010 Expo, 41 of which have submitted the design, 21 of which will be topped at the end of September. And there will be 42 rented pavilions, 41 of which were under construction, 3 of which have completed and handed to the exhibitors.
11 joint pavilions will support more than 140 countries and international organizations, 3 of which have completed and the others will be completed at the end of October. The planned corporate pavilions have all been signed and are expected to be topped at the end of September.
China Pavilion and Theme pavilion have finished the main part construction, and they have started to prepare the exhibition.
