Britain hope Shanghai Expo to promote London Olympic Games

Eileen, Deputy General Representative of UK pavilion, expressed that Britain hoped Shanghai Expo to be the opportunity to further promote the upcoming London Olympic Games in 2012.

The promotion of Shanghai World Expo has been carried out in England, Eileen said. The Shanghai World Expo mascot Haibao got the local favor in the last China year. Eileen hoped that there would be more Britons to visit the Shanghai Expo through a series of promotional events.

Britain prepared to show the advantages of the cooperation between Britain and China in Shanghai World Expo. The cooperation in business, education and culture fields just shows the great determination of Britain in building the relationship between the two countries.

UK Pavilion will interpret the Shanghai Expo theme “Better City, Better Life” by a collection of 60,000 seeds, Thomas Hathaway, the designer of UK pavilion, said that the design of UK pavilion will show a creative Britain.
