New Energy will be used in public transport during 2010 Shanghai Expo
It is reported that new energy vehicles will be widely used in Expo Site during the Shanghai World Expo. One bus station will be set every 300 meters. This is good news for passengers.
Huang Jianzhi, deputy director of Shanghai World Expo Coordination Bureau, said that the two free bus lines will be from east to west.
One of them will run through Pudong and Puxi district using the dedicated tunnel for Tibet Road. 120 pure electric vehicles will be used as the cross-river public transport.
Another free line will adopt 36 super capacitor buses and 6 hydrogen fuel cell buses to achieve “Zero Emissions”.
In addition, The Expo Site will set two tourist routes up and down the skywalk to meet the demands of those people who want to take a close look at the pavilions on both sides of the road. Well it is not free.
