
A helicopter parking apron will be built in Expo Site
Yang Xiong, vice Mayor of Shanghai and deputy director of Shanghai World Expo Executive Committee, said that Shanghai plans to build a helicopter parking apron in Expo Site to cooperate with rescue ambulance, which will improve the medical care system of the World Expo.
National Information Center held a press conference about the preparation for Shanghai World Expo on September 29. Yang expressed that medical care is a very important issue during the Expo preparation.
At present, Shanghai has organized several tertiary hospitals to form a specialized medical emergency teams for Shanghai Expo.
In addition, a helicopter parking apron will be built in the Expo Site to cooperate with rescue ambulance, which will provide medical service for visitors and participators.
Yang expressed that Shanghai will take the following medical care measures.
First, establish a highly effective command center headed by the vice mayor who is in charge of Shanghai’s health work.
Second, organize some experts to do a research on infectious diseases and HIN1 trend.
Third, make a full physical preparation, equipment preparation and human preparations.
