Shanghai airports will implement a first security check precaution during Expo 2010

According to responsible person from Shanghai Airport Authority, the two airports will carry out a third security check precaution. In order to minimize interruption to travelers, the warning time of first security check precaution is expected not to exceed 20 days if a safe condition has been ensured.

A first security check precaution means that all the passengers should accept the explosive detection, and the passenger’s carry-on baggage and checked baggage are more likely to be checked.

The two shanghai airports have imposed such a security alert during Beijing Olympic Games last year and this National Day.

Shanghai Expo will last 184 days and it is obviously not realistic to implement such stringent measures every day.

It is reported that Shanghai airports would implement the first security check precaution only on the opening and closing ceremonies of Shanghai Expo, which would probably last for 15 to 20 days.
