Expo 2010 Forum ends

With the theme “Urban development and green economy”, Expo 2010 Forum sponsored by Shanghai World Expo Coordination Bureau and the China News Service ended in Songjiang. Liu beixian, chief of the CNS, delivered the closing speech.

Liu beixian said that in the two-day forum, city managers, experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from home and abroad gathered at the Shanghai and discussed around the subject “Urban development and the green economy”. They gave a number of profound and imaginative views and shared their wisdom.

Liu beixian noted that, as some guests said in this forum, developing green economy needs governments and people’ mutual participation. The Expo Forum will play a positive role in promoting the ideas of green economic development and the harmonious coexistence between man and nature.

He also pointed out that, the definition of a green economy is interpreted from various levels and the guests tried to put forward to a new idea and new model about urban green economic development. These ideas are full of wisdom and business opportunities. And this is the result from joint efforts from all participants.
