
UBPA pavilions start decoration and exhibit arrangement
Fifty pavilions for the 2010 World Expo's Urban Best Practices Area have finished construction and started interior decoration and exhibit arrangement. It’s expected that by the end of March, the decoration and exhibition will be completed and these pavilions will begin trial runs in April.
UBPA is an extraordinary innovation in the history of world expo, which creates one of the most striking features of the Shanghai World Expo. It offers a great stage for cities to propose their solutions to the urban issues from different perspectives and through their best practices in different thematic fields.
The UBPA is divided into four exhibition fields - Livable Cities, Sustainable Urbanization, Protection and Utilization of Historical Heritages and Technological Innovation in Built Environment.
It covers 15.12 hectares and is in the Puxi area of the Expo site.
