Organizers donate money to earthquake victims

Staff of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination donated money to the earthquake-hit Tibetan area of the northwest province of Qinghai on April 21st. 

The bureau has donated 215,400 yuan to Yushu County quake victims as of April 21st. 

Officials and visitors observed three minutes of silence at 10am at the Qinghai Pavilion. A donation box was set up in front of the pavilion for the 50,000-odd visitors. 

Overseas pavilions joined China's in flying the national flag at half mast. 

All cultural performances and music playing were suspended at the Shanghai Expo site.
