Albania celebrates pavilion day

Albanian artists staged performances to celebrate the national pavilion day of Albania at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo on May 6th. This was the first national pavilion day at the fair. 

The facade is a mottled wall resembling Albania's most ancient and characteristic city of Gjirokaster. 

Images of the country's landscape embedded in the archways, together with models of historical architecture and modern videos, present an overview of the nation.
