Australia Expo Pavilion officially opens

A ceremony was held this morning to celebrate the official opening of the Australia Pavilion on May 18th.

Australian Foreign Minister Stephen Smith said at the ceremony that he was delighted about 500,000 people had visited the pavilion to date since the World Expo's opening.

The pavilion is a fun and relaxed place for people of all ages. Divided into three distinct but inter-related sections labeled "Journey," "Discover" and "Enjoy," the pavilion incorporates almost every aspect of Australian life.

There is a theater which can accommodate 1,000 viewers inside the pavilion.
