Online reunion at Cisco Pavilion

The Cisco Pavilion yesterday created a special reunion for five children who were preparing a performance in the United States and their parents in Shanghai via a technology called TelePresence, which creates a network that connects many different devices and systems and enables people to communicate with friends, family and co-workers in a live video feed. 

The five performers from the Children's Palace of China Welfare Institute have already had a virtual rehearsal with their US counterparts before they headed to US via TelePresence early this month. 

Staff of the pavilion said they would pick up a number of Shanghai families to "meet" their friends, family and co-workers overseas via the technology through the Shanghai Expo.
