Hungary Expo Pavilion receives 3,333,333rd visitor
The Hungary Pavilion greeted its 3,333,333rd visitor, a boy from Zhejiang Province with a gift this morning.
The number 3,333,333 represents one third of Hungary's population. The pavilion succeeded to draw 3 million visitors in the first half of the Expo, well beyond the host's estimate.
The Hungary Pavilion appeals to the Chinese visitors because of its unique design and a Gomboc, a roly-poly object that can right itself when pushed over. Many hanging rods in the attrium make visitors feel like walking in a forest. They transmit sunlight from the roof during the day and turn into sparkling stars at nigh with lights.
On August 22, the Hungary Pavilion Day, a host of activities will be held here, including an evening party and a forum on Hungarian arts.
