Milan fashion, design gurus reveal creativity secrets

Influential Italian fashion designer Elio Fiorucci and interior designer Fabio Novembre shared their innovation and inspiration at an industry forum at the Italy Expo Pavilion. The forum was part of the Milan Week themed "Milan, Creative City," which runs from June 16 to June 23. 

Through a series of forums, Milan aims to showcase not only the city’s excellence and leadership in the fields of fashion and design, but also its global influence in arts and music, science and innovation technology. Fiorucci, an iconic fashion designer and founder of fashion brand Fiorucci, started the label in 1967. Fiorucci's real genius has been picking some ordinary things and turning them into fashion products.Reflecting on the impact Milan has had on his label, Fiorucci said the brand is a youthful and fun-loving brand, dedicated to putting a new spin on the fashion industry. 

Renowned for creating some of the most recognized designs in furniture and architecture, Novembre explained his design concept of the showpiece exhibited during the Milan Week and how Milan enabled him to rise to the top of his field.
