Visitor number on 35th day exceeds 400000

Total of 436,900 visitors crowded the Shanghai Expo site yesterday, exceeding 400,000 on a second consecutive day. Among the visitors, about 152,000 were on group tours, accounting for about 36 percent of yesterday's visitor flow. 

Sales of tickets for night admission also stood near 200,000. Visitors holding evening tickets, which can only be bought at ticket offices on the Shanghai World Expo site, can enter the site after 5pm.The Libya Pavilion closed for inner decoration but all other 144 pavilions remained open yesterday. 

Houtan gate received 84,000 visitors while 68,000 entered through Changqing Road. Shangnan Road and Gaoke Road W. together received 121,000. By 5pm yesterday, 81 performances had been staged, attracting about 86,800 visitors. Altogether 4,678 volunteers served on the site. 

Five medical service stations inside the World Expo site received 284 visitors by 4pm yesterday.
