Shanghai Epxo Visitor number hits new record

A total of 350,400 visitors entered the World Expo site by 8pm on the Expo's 26th day, bringing the total visitor number to a new high at about 6.07 million since the fair's opening. The operation of the site was in good order, the organizers announced. 

Among the visitors, 139,700 were on group tours, accounting for about 40 percent of isitor flow for May 26th. 

The most crowded gates were Shangnan Road, Gaoke Road W., Houtan, and Changqing Road. Houtan received as many as 68,000 visitors, Changqing Road 56,000, and Shangnan Road, Gaoke Road W. about 45,000 each. 

A total of 45,759 tickets were sold on site by 7:30pm. By 5pm, 76 performances had been staged, attracting nearly 68,000 visitors. Altogether 6,051 volunteers served on the site.
